Recently I made a post on my facebook page explaining that telling the truth and exposing wrong doctrine is an act of true love. Today's modern church only wants to get everybody in a big group hug, agree to disagree, and then the blind lead the blind blissfully down the burning road to hell. Stemming from this post an old high school friend of mine had a conversation with a current friend of mine. I knew this person wouldn't see the effort to carefully expose their wrong thought system. They got caught up in the fact that they had misspoken a word, 'doctrine' instead of 'denomination', as if THAT was what the conversation was about. Funny how the enemy blinds one to the truth through such obvious diversionary tactics, but for the time being, it worked. This is my e-mail to them, and maybe to you too, so that you can have an example of how things are sidetracked from the main point, swindled from receiving the truth and deceived by darkened understanding.
The conversation that occurred between you and xxxxxxx was not about one word you mistyped ('doctrine' instead of 'denomination').
Not at all.
Xxxxxxx never attacked YOU, they just tried to explain how we've all been taught wrong doctrine, and we need to reconsider (decolonize) our mind using scripture as the light of understanding.
After some time passes, and after you've had an opportunity to calm down about it, you should re-read the thread. Sincerely pray about it first. Truly it wasn't about you, or Xxxxxx, or Xxxxxxx, or me, it was about the deception propagated by the enemy of the cross, and those who are sucked in by it. Love is effort made, through God's grace and mercy, to act in His name (Christ in you, the hope of glory) to pull a few from the burning embers of deception.
It is because we are so desperate to reach the lost that we have no regard for ourselves in proclaiming truth to the world. Jesus Christ proclaimed truth to the world and they despised, hated, and killed Him. We take up our cross and follow Him.
The Pharisees had their doctrine, and it was false. Jesus Christ told them so, but they took His words as an attack upon themselves, not upon their false belief system.
May God grant you wisdom, understanding, humility, meekness, discernment, and peace. The peace I speak of is not a lack of turmoil, but a knowing that all things are in the hands of God, and regardless of appearance, they all work out for good (to His glory), and according to His plan.
I pray you understand this message, and that you might realize that no one ever meant you any harm. They did, however, want to kill wrong ideas and deception.
It's so sad to me, because I thought perhaps God had brought this person back into my life as a companion in the faith, but presently it doesn't appear as if any light were shed upon the wrong doctrine, nor any understanding witnessed within the soul.
Doesn't mean it won't occur, doesn't mean that prayers aren't still being offered to this effect, and it doesn't mean that the enemy's attack against us was successful.
Someone has to be sidetracked, swindled and deceived otherwise how could we witness all the attributes of God?
May the most high God keep us out of the SSD camp for eternity, if it be His will.
